Here is my ad with pictures... I am asking $600...though I have wiggle room on the mud price.
M416 Military Trailer- Great for Jeeps, rovers, land cruisers fj40
I live near the airport in South Burlington, VT and am selling my M416 trailer. It is a Johnson 1967. It has the original lights, bi-directional tires, etc. The rubber drain holes are intact and functional. The PO removed the pintal, and replaced it with a 1 and 7/8ths ball hitch. Tow chains and e-brake are present and functional. I would/have no problem driving hundreds of miles with it. The body is cherry on the underside....the frame is really nice....including crossmembers, springs, etc. If I didn't buy it in Vermont originally, I would think it came from a base somewhere down south.
Interestingly, this M416 was a mobile water tank originally. It had a 1/4 inch steel top and baffling on the interior. I cut the top off and it revealed a mint interior tub. There are NO rust holes through the bed, or other perforations to the tub. The pictures below show the trailer with a hard top on it. I use it to keep debris and water out of it. The top is not for sale.
It was painted multiple times while in service, and reflects that. There is surface rust in patches, but otherwise is fine. For a restoration, I believe it could be sandblasted and sprayed mint again.
