I just installed an M12000 in my new ARB 03+ bull bar. I don't have it on the truck yet but just by looking at it on the garage floor it looks to be nearly impossible to be able to watch the cable as it spools on the winch. The only place I can see it (and barely) is through the slot on top of the bumper but the control box blocks most of that view. When my old 90's era solenoid(s) eventually **** out I plan to replace them with an Albright mounted in the engine compartment, but until then......how do you guys with this combination monitor the rope winding on the spool? This seems like it could turn into a serious problem.
Thanks,
cp

Be proactive and get the solenoid now.
I put mine in the RHS side wing of the bar, and mounted the Warn remote plug to some 2" x 3/16 plate I bolted to the front of the hole for the control box. I like to see the cable wind on, and having the remote plug in the center of the bar looks nice as well.

Better but still not a lot of room to see...

That's not a bad idea Matt 105. Then I would only have one power cable running out to the bumper instead of three. Are those contactors really water proof though, or just water resistant? Any pics or your mounting details?
Pegasis, I don't have that kind of room left in my engine bay! My OBA system sits where your control box is located, and 2nd battery behind that.
