Thought I would share yet another good use for a M101 CND. A kiddie pool large enough to play with the kids in!!!

We had a bit of a heat wave here, so I threw a tarp in the trailer and filled it with water.

Acutally quite nice to have a beer in :)

My son got a kick out of it for sure. Was super sad when I told him it was time to go in for dinner....

I used my hi lift for a stand on the back. Otherwise it would be too tippy.

But what else to do on a hot day but drink Sleemans and soak in yer trailer. :D

I take it the drain plugs on your trailer aren't sealing anymore? IIRC those things are watertight from the factory. Shouldn't need the tarp other than to keep the mud offa you and your son! :) Looks like everyone is havin fun though!

Actually I cut a tail gate into it. So no good seal anymore. I found shovelling out of it when it had no tailgate to be a real pain.

But yes before it would have not needed the tarp. It held water quite good.

Class!:)

You're a good dad, I would however like to see a small kiddie slide heading into your new oasis.

Here is my redneck pool. We make these at the fire station when it gets real hot. I made this in our backyard during the heat spell last month.
It's ghetto but it kept the kids happy.

Hi All:

"Brownbear," can you share how you rigged-up a tail gate on your M101 surplus trailer?

Thanks!

Alan

sure, but not quite done yet. Will do a thread when I get time to finish. I know, slacker I am :)

I have the hinges welded on, tailgate cut. Next I need rubber straps. And some angle iron stiffiners welded on.
