I have a 2008 4Runner Limited with a 3 inch OME lift and 32” BFG KO2s. I love it! Daily driver and occasional off-roader/overlander. Color is Mica Gray (dark metallic gray).
I’m getting ready to upgrade to a 200 series. Looking at 2011 - 2013. Would love to get a LC, but I can’t justify what looks like it would be a $5k - $6k premium versus the LX 570. Plus I like the AHC suspension, given how I plan to use the vehicle (daily driver, winter ski trips, occasional off-road/overland). So I’m planning to get a 570.
What color should I try to get?
If I could could choose, I would get the dark gray (like my current 4Runner). But those seem rare. I don’t want black. I think I could learn to love WHITE or SILVER, and both seem fairly common in the used market.
In either case, I plan to buy aftermarket wheels (Oz or Method?)... as well as a Front Runner roof rack, Slee sliders, and 33s.
If I go silver 570, I would pair with BLACK wheels.
If I go white 570, I would pair with BRONZE wheels.
What do folks here think? Any one have some pics of trucks in these combos?
I hate the chrome bling on the 570s. Any thoughts on which paint color draws less attention to it (silver v white)? I know I could black out the trim, but that sounds like a costly PITA and likely to eventually peel.
