I have a 2011 LX570.

Has anybody had the car sit down? Like the rear of the car drops really fast? This can happen when stopped at a red light, driving slow or even when the car is parked and turned off. It probably happens 2-4 times a week. First time it happened I was thinking somebody had hit the car.

Had it to Lexus many time and they can’t simulate the issue.

The self leveling works nice and smooth, same with car lowering when parking very smooth.

it's normal. the action of driving will slowly jack up the rear end, and when stopped the car will relevel. you'll also get it on a steep hill it may go up or down depending when stopped. Nothing is amiss.

Also when exceeding 62mph you'll feel the rear end sink for better aero

This can happen when I shutoff/lock the car and walk to the bag, then the car sometimes drop a couple of inches in an instant. You can see the rear of the car drop.

How many miles?
Any knowledge of AHC fluid flush?

i agree, it’s normal. My ‘15 does it all the time while driving.
do you have any mods? I’ve noticed my front dropping when I’m light, but in the same roads where the front would normally drop, the rear drops if I’m heavy (rear tire and swingarms are loaded).
You’re talking about changing heights (smooth) vs auto leveling (abrupt).
Also, if you’re in Hi mode, it might auto-level quicker than being in Normal height.

110.000 miles
Lexus flushed the AHC fluid, when they started to look at the issue.

Changing height and auto leveling works great and smooth. Don't really notices it. Going from HI to Low also nice and smooth.
As far as I know when the car is turned off and locked both changing height and auto leveling system are off and car shouldn't move, but rear till drop.

With the car turned off it also drops even when the systems should be off.

Normal to have adjustments after you turn off the rig and close the doors (will never adjust if any doors/hatch are open).

Mine does that when I come off the highway exit near my house quickly and then stop at a red light. The back drops rapidly as it is auto adjusting.
Also, I am "assuming" you are referring to Easy Access mode when you say it drops after you shut off the LX. If you have the little light on the dash that looks like someone taking a dump with their head out the window, you have the Easy Access mode on. The LX will drop 2 inches a few seconds after you shut it off if you have it in park and no doors have been opened. If someone opens the door, it will wait for a couple seconds after everything is closed then drop.

Thanks for the reply.
The Easy access mode works smooth.

It almost feel like the rear end of the car drops a foot in an instant. It's only 1-3 inches, but so fast that it feels like more.

Normal.

Due to the anti-squat geometry built into the rear suspension. When coming to a stop, particularly coming in hot, the weight transfer and geometry will tend to lift the rear suspension. Along with brake application, this tends to lift and hold the rear end up higher. AHC being active will attempt to level the rig once at a stop.
