Hey Mudders!

I just picked up a 2015 LX after trading my 2017 6.7 Powerstroke diesel. I’m looking to get a baseline on all fluids and I’m sitting on about 10 gallons of Shell Rotella T6 5w40 synthetic oil. Have any of you run this in your 5.7 gassers? It was an amazing oil in my big diesel and I feel like it would do this engine some good. I’ve also read that that LC/LX are labeled to use heavier oil outside the US market. Also, searches turned up some 100 and 80 series folks running T6 and being happy with it but seems like this topic hasn’t come up for the 200 LC/LX. I know there’s some next level seasoned folks on here and I’d greatly appreciate your input and experiences!

The 3UR is designed to run on a variety of weights depending on temperature range.

This, like octane usually turns into a circular discussion on mud. Be warned 😎

An update, 1.5k miles later. The oil looks beautiful and on the octane side, running regular and logging 20.5 highway mpg.

97k miles on the clock.
