I apologize in advance if this information is out there but after two days I have not found the answer I have been looking for. Recently my factory subwoofer blew (I opted out of repairing it. I heard a lot of good things about the Infinity Basslink and decided to give it a shot but now I am lost. The Basslink has both High Level Inputs and Low Level Inputs(RCAs). I purchased a Line Out Converter in case it was needed but here is where I am lost. I do not know where to cut or tap my High Level Inputs at example: Before factory amplifier or after amplifier on door speaker? If I went with the LOC (line out converter) to run RCA cables is it possible to just disconnect my factory sub and tap them into the converter? Or would it be better suited tapping into the door speakers as well? And lastly, between the Low Level Inputs and the High Level Inputs (RCA) which are better to go with in this situation? :hhmm:

Thanks in advance. All I wanted was a little bottom end sound! Is that too much to ask? :meh:

Before when I had the oem stereo and amp, I cut the wires at the factory sub, used the line level converter to my new mono amp for the sub. Works just fine.

I'm considering doing this with a Basslink as well. Take some pics and post of how you decide to do this. Any way to run a powered sub in tandem with stock sub?

Thanks for the replies, I think that method is the way I have been leaning as well. I wish I could find the forum but from what I was reading if you left the stock sub in and tapped into the wires to run the LOC then you could have a high impedance(?) level which could damage your factory amp as well as the aftermarket amp. Parts should come in Wednesday. I should knock it out pretty quick and get some pictures of the install up on my build thread. If anyone else has any info on this please feel free to share as I'd rather go off of experience rather than guessing.
