You guys are great here. Lots of ideas to check out, and now I just need to figure how beneficial the Trac feature is on the road, because I can lock in high range and do in the VSC, but I want to lose the VSC on the road too so I can drive more comfortably knowing that my vehicle won’t suddenly turn sideways like what has happened to 200UZJ and others. This scares the crap out of me. I haven’t had any problems with it on the road at all, but the idea that it could fail at speed…………….
Phsycle, thanks for calling bad, I appreciate that. I got a bit sensitive there. The best defense is a good offence in most minds. The thing is that you are missing the environment here. Sometimes one gets a bit sideways on the public roads, but more often, in the desert where my friends and I play, it’s not much in the way of a road. The canyon washes are typically pretty sandy in a lot of spots with tracks going all over the place, and the job is to keep moving and go where you want to go, not to where you are pointed. Kind of like sliding on mud, which we don’t see too often.
