I'm searching for the red w yellow stripe wire that goes to the reverse tail lamp. Been looking thru wire looms under rear of truck. Any ideas?

Bingo! I already removed the back tailgate panel just to ID the wire color. I'll check that next, thanks!You can also access the wire if you remove the jack and tool kit from the truck, then remove 3 bolts that hold the mounting bracket for them. Harness runs in back of the connector and out through a grommet in the body near the drivers' side frame rail.

The only clean way to run a wire out connected inside the tail gate is through the harness assembly that runs from the tail gate up to a grommet on the left side of the body. Having repaired some shorted wires in that harness where it hinges, I can say the job took quite a while to keep everything in place...adding another wire in that harness may cause you to think very evil thoughts...I would definitely make the connection in the jack area where at least you have a tiny bit of room to work.Bingo! Thanks Steve! Will doI should have also added that you also want to bring out a wire connected to the white with black stripe wire...that connects to chassis ground.
