Yeah know that for the LC it’s a straight forward install using the threaded shaft of the am projector that’s why I was asking the op.
Try Lightwerkz, they have done a few LC headlights

LC headlights do not need a bracket to complete a retrofit only the LX
No I didn't realize this. So If I buy a projector kit from Lightwerkz it should be relatively straightforward to install? I understand I'll have to split the headlights open, etc, but in terms of actually mechanically securing the projector housing, pretty easy?

If your doing your own retrofit your can buy the kit from either Lightwerkz or The Retrofit Source, If you're worried about downtime buy a pair of Depo headlights to retrofit

Hi all, back in an LX after almost 7 years or so! Is there a link for the best current setup I need to buy from TRS? '01 so glass housing. Not interested in a quad setup, just the best setup for the traditional route (since my eyes are now 7 years older, too!).

I can do most everything else on the car, but I can't keep track of what the latest version of Mini or D2S style is best.

Also, Luke, I have a set of your brackets from years and years ago. Has the design since changed? Should I pick up a new pair?

No need for new brackets and your projector choices would either be the Mini H1 or the Micro D2S. The D2S 5.0 has a different mounting pattern the Micro fits the bracket. The D2S opens up a wide range of bulbs. Just make sure you order 35 W ballast not 50.

Hey Luke,

Just wanted to double-check that you're still planning on another production run on brackets? About to pull the trigger on a MicroD2S setup for my LX470.

Thanks!

I have the brackets and they should be available mid to late July. I moved 60 miles in the country and I have a lot of projects working so it will be a hot minute

Gotcha! No worries - the replacement engine for my LX470 is still sitting on the stand in my garage - the retrofit is definitely down there on the list of projects to get done, haha! I'll keep an eye on this thread for when you're selling them again.

I have your brackets, and Morimoto Mini H1 8.0 projectors... but never installed yet. Finally getting around to it soon.

Now that the Micro D2S 5.0 is available... is there any notable performance difference between the H1 and Micro D2S?
Just pondering the thought, since I already have the H1 projectors... if it worth the switch to D2S?
Thanks~

Will these brackets be available again, and if so, is there an expected time-frame? They are showing unavailable on your website.

On his website is a phone number. Send it a text to get in touch with Luke. That's what I did when I was looking for the brackets

In case anyone has issues sealing the housing with the new projectors. I used e39 ballast and a 3inch pipe cap from Home Depot. Pressed out a hole with a homemade tool and voila no more headlight fluid.
Oh and don’t forget to aim your lights first before cutting out the holes. Ask me how I know..

FIY fcpeuro.com has lifetime warranty on all ballast and bulbs.

That cap works well, I've used that same cap. You should have use JB Weld on the bolt heads prior to installing, which will allow you to tighten the nuts from the front when making your adjustments and leveling the cut off. After adjusting, remove the headlights and seal them up . Small observation.

This is the brilliant kind of fix that I'd only think of after doing it the hard way once or twice.

Working through a MicroD2S install right now - the Morimoto XB35 igniter hangs out the back by about an inch. In order to retain a water proof/resistant housing, I designed and 3D printed some custom tail caps out of ABS. These twist-lock and use the factory o-ring, and are designed to work perfectly with the grommet that comes on the XB35 wiring. Super happy with how they came out!
