LX470 HID RETROFIT PROJECTOR BRACKET

We should be JB Welding the nuts and bolts now? Have they become loose id like to skip that if not required.

No they have not become loose.. if you read the post...JB welding the bolts to the projector will allow you to adjust the rotation and tighten the nuts down from the front. It’s not required but will save you time and frustration.

Go back to page 26 of this thread there's some important information regarding the plastic mounting clips

The first pictures shows the bolt JB Welded to the projector... the nut is hand tight to hold it in place until it dries...this is the best JB weld
as it sets up in 5-7 minutes
You can see in the other picture you can easily tighten the nut with the bolt head epoxied in place and in the final picture I JB weld the nuts for insurance they will stay in place. These lights take quite a bit of vibration and it would be a total PITA to open the lights to repair a loose nut
Watching a few video's and reviewing this thread and the install guide will make your job easier

Its still ok to use the OEM clips/connectors right? I was part of the first batch buyers.

I would order the white TRS clips. You may also want to open up the 4 holes on the bracket where the projector mounts and use 6/32 bolts which should give you a bit of rotational adjustment

@Luke111

I finally got around to do the install your guide was perfect. I wish the guide said how you ran the wires and velcroed the ballasts under the headlamps for zero thinking install. Everything went smooth looks good as far as i can tell as its still day time. Waiting until it gets dark tonight to test it for real.

I also blacked out my head lights while i had them open which im really happy about but now my clear corners are super bright. Has anyone blacked out the housing for the corner lights? Im going to attempt but would like some guidance if anyone has done it before.

I have not blacked out the corner lights ...I can only assume if you bake them you can open them up....

Ok thanks ill venture and let you know.

Just got back from night testing I love it. It seems my driver side beam is weaker than my passenger side. Not sure the cause will try to move around the beam focus and alignment and see if something changes. Im using morimoto bulb holder so not sure i could shim the bulb.

Haven’t posted here for sometime so I thought I’d check in .... I still have brackets available but I’m also staying busy building plug and play lights for Mud memebers and few people who found the site online..
Reach out if you’re interested

Just got my LB BuiltWerks HID light housings installed this weekend!!

They are super bright and very sharp cutoff as pictured throughout this thread. HUGE improvement and wish I'd done this mod sooner.

Lou was a pleasure to deal with and his kit included everything necessary and easy installation. Thanks for turning night into day!!

Ive also installed these a while back and they are the best mod you can do. Words cant describe it. Just trust me and do it.

Thanks for making this possible and providing and DIY for us.

I'm going to buy these. Nice little bracket.

I installed HIDs in my e36 about 12 yrs ago, haha. One of the best mods I ever did to that car.

Gotta ask though, does the completed headlight look like the one in the photo on the first page? Is the light shroud and surround totally eliminated? It looks kinda funny... But it will be worth the extra light!

Also:
- Are the brackets on your website sold in pairs?
- What projectors are most people running these days?

I actually have some original TSX projectors sitting around in my garage from a retrofit I never ended up doing. Maybe I will use those. Will they fit?
