Hi Everyone! I'm a new and proud LX470 owner. I've been lurking on this forum for a few months now. Anyways. I have some questions regarding the AHC system in the LX470. To give a little background I'm looking to keep the AHC and use the the vehicle sometimes for some challenging off-road adventures. I plan on eventually building the rig out and adding somewhere between 500 and 1000lbs of gear.
1. I'm wondering where the best resource is to learn about the technical details of the system. i.e. how it is implemented and how it functions.
2. What are the best ways to evaluate the health of the system and maintain it? I'm looking for the challenge of having it running in tip top condition and using it in challenging off-road situations.
3. What if any modifications need to be done to the system when adding lot's of weight. The forums seem to indicate that is one of the challenges when keeping this system. I've also seen some conflicting opinion on how to solve this. Is it just springs and torsion bar work (what's a torsion bar anyway?), or does it require moving the sensor (which sounds a little more out of the scope of the intended design).
Thanks!
