I have been doing a ton of searching and reading determining the differences between LC standard, JBL LX470 Nak and LX470 ML Systems and this is the last piece of the puzzle i cannot seem to get confirmation on before i get into the work.

What is the ohm rating of the factory Nak sub in a 98-00 Lx470?

Some thread say the Nak was a Dual voice coil then others say single but with so many stereo variations its hard to keep track of what stereo that particular poster is talking about when it gets into the 8+ page range.

Most installs seem to just go audiopipe 6" but id rather match my ohm rating as close as possible.

Thanks

take it out and look at it. then leave the panel off until you get a new one. not trying to be flippant, but at least you can compare your DVC or single coil to what everyone else has then assume same ohm. no measuring, nothing complicated.
and if you want to measure or don't know how this will help you.

I am use to aftermarket speakers, but would the OEM one have the ohm rating printed on it? Obviously DVC vs single would be easy to spot.

I like to have all my ducks in a row and materials staged when starting projects. Free time is few and far between so i have to try to be as efficient as possible when doing stuff like this.

it might be printed on it. I wouldn't bet on it though. from the fsm for your year you can tell dual or single, also from the plug if you take the panel off. for ohm I think you'd have to measure or go with your gut. shooting in the dark I'd just say look for an 8ohm dual and wire it how you like. I honestly don't know where to look or I would have.
If you want proof before you order I'd take the box out.
