I checked the FAQ quickly so bare with me. What is the offset on the stock 8x16 Lexus rims. I want to get a slightly smaller offset for a slightly wider stance with the new meats.

Offset is zero. Backspacing is around 4.25 inches. Both are the same for 93-97 LC alloys as all LX450s.
I could be wrong here but if the backspacing is 4.25" on an 8" rim then the offset from zero would be +.25" or +6mm??

Backspacing includes the width of the edge of the lip. If you measure most 8" wheels edge to edge, you see that it is 9" in total width. The edge of the wheel is often about 1/2" thick. So 9" divided by 1/2 is 4.5" backspacing which is about zero offset. .

The backspace for the OEM 16 inch wheels is 4.5 inches. This applies to both alloy and steel wheels. Th offset on both wheels is zero.

Thanks. Good to know that even a 4" backspace will produce a wider stance.

Just for your reference here's my old 91 with 3.25 backspacing (15x8 rims 32x11.50 tires). Brought the edge of the tire out slightly past the edge of the flare. Keep in mind 91/92 flares were slightly narrower. Really liked the wider stance.

MoJ What rims are those? I know that I have to get 16" rims. But just curious. They look really nice with the A/T Ko's

Made by American Eagle, series 1??. Tried to go back and pull up an old thread for you that listed the series number but search was locking up on me this AM. If you find the search working, search for subject=tires, member=MoJ, this forum, 300 days back, display 200 or so results.
