I'm probably going down a bit of a rabbit hole here, but I've noticed some better quality aftermarket parts available in Russia. Particularly these black headlights for my LX. I reached out to the supplier, and they only ship to CIS countries. The headlights appear to be made in Taiwan (Not china!) so I'm wondering if they could be available in other markets.

Any thoughts?

There are a LOT of cruisers and LXs in Russia. And lots of knowledge and parts, too. I’ve no hands on experience with their parts, though.

In the video they said the high beams are halogen, and the running light appears to also act as a signal indicator, one of those that lights up progressively from side to side.

Just FYI.

Thanks. Still a little skeptical on quality. I haven't been overwhelmed with OEM headlight on the 2013-2015 LX. Already had to do a headlight restoration when I bought it, and the light on the factory xeon (I believe) is not very good. Just exploring options.

The guy in the video seems quite enthused about the quality. But he also said a lot of things that suggested they had a previous version of this product, and that it was garbage. Things like "no MORE moisture buildup," "no MORE burning out lights," "we NOW offer warranty," etc.

It looks and sounds good - but I think you're right in being cautious. In my experience, (7-8 different purchases for cars, motorcycles, trucks - all items claimed to be 100% perfect OEM-level fit & finish) aftermarket products like lights and body panels fall into a single category: trash. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I've yet to have one.

Taiwan? Still China. They build Land Cruiser 200s at the Toyota Changchun Assembly Plant in Tianjin, China too (not for US market) so not sure why important.

Perhaps it not important. I just associate most of the really bad AM stuff with China. As I type on my iPhone (made in China).

I assume you speak Russian. Thanks for the info. If price is any indication. It’s probably not much better than any other garbage out there.

I do.

FYI, I upgraded the bulbs in my OEM headlights and made noticeable improvements (details in first few pages of the build thread). Lighting isn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but much better than what the LX came with.
