LX 570 OEM roof crossbars - feel like I am taking crazy pills

OEM is cheap enough, just go that route. Ed Martin may still have some LC racks that have been removed. Don’t skimp and get a knockoff here...one of us may be driving behind you (probably tailgating) when whatever you’re carrying on the roof flies off!
I obviously don't want it flying off, but I don't know if OEM is really any better. I am using the OEM bolts, nuts, retainer clips, and cross bars; I just need the side rails which are aluminum. Are the knockoffs that much worse? The OEM rails are $800 for a set, whereas eBay has them for around $200.

I don't mind buying someone's OEM take off if they have it available.

Do the existing LX front/rear covers work with the longer LC side rails?

Personally, I wouldn't trust the aftermarket eBay rack parts from Asia. If I were you, I'd try to find someone who has upgraded to an aftermarket rack system that doesn't need the OEM parts.

A couple differences:
On some years of LX570 (my gen 1 for example) the factory crossbars were shorter than the TLC crossbars. The factory LX570 rails are wider. The crossbars are of the same design, and the slides/clamps work fine, the bars themselves are shorter.
Aside from the 2016+ LX570 racks, it seems that the Gen 1 and Gen 2 LX570 racks are two pad, the TLC racks are three pad.

Those of you who've swapped the LX570 rack for an LC200 rack, did you silicone the holes before you inserted the bolts? How did you waterproof the bolts/holes?

Nope, no silicone in the factory install, so none used in mine.
No leaks for two years.
I used all oem bolts rubbers and parts

If I remember correctly, the stock brackets have a little gasket on them. Sometimes part of the gasket comes off during removal but there's still enough left for a good seal.
