Hi all, purchased a 2010 LX 570 a couple months ago. Higher mileage at 220,000, very well kept and low rust rig from the south.

A couple weeks ago we had the infotainment black out on us cruising down the highway. It happened at least three times in a couple minutes. I noticed the voltage gauge dropped in conjunction with the outages. The final outage the gauge cluster and headlights also cut out. I have had similar issues on my 97 4Runner and it turned out to be an intermittent alternator. I have no record of the alternator being changed on this vehicle and 220,000 before failure doesn't seem unreasonable. I took the voltage of the battery prior to start and while running, both were normal, but I've had normal readings on bad electrical equipment before. Looks like it's a harder job on this platform so I figured I'd ask around for other ideas before I dive into it, especially since this vehicle has more tech than anything I've had previously. I have googled around LC and Tundra forums for similar issues with little luck.

Below I've linked a video of the issue. I artificially increased load to set it off, seat heat, max HVAC blower, brights, AHC, etc.

You need to take it to competent mechanic or auto-electrical shop to take measurements at the alternator, battery, junctions, etc.... to determine what the issue is. Could be alternator, could be battery, could be connections between alternator, battery, loads, grounds, etc... Don't start playing musical parts.

Seems like a possible bad connection. I'd check all the ground and main cables, including at the battery.
