I searched online but no luck finding anything so I’ll just make a quick write up.
The Midland micromobile fits perfectly in the glovebox with a few mods to the glovebox and the shelf to allow for the wiring. I used a 3’ flush mount cat 6 extension cable which I mounted in the small carpeted panel in the passenger footwell. Inside the glovebox I used a die grinder to enlarge the hole to pass the wiring through and a hole saw to cut a passage hole through the shelf to pass wires through to the radio.
For the antenna I made a bracket to attach the magnetic base to and attach to the t slot in the roof rack. The wire is then routed through the end cap, through the rubber grommet and down the roof channel under the trim. It is routed under the trim on the windshield and into the engine bay and through the firewall through the rubber boot. The antenna and all its routing is on the passenger side.
I wanted to keep this install as clean and hidden as possible and all that is visible without opening the glovebox is the cat 6 plug for the microphone and the antenna.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
