So,
Did you end up buying yours back from the insurance company?
I am in the process of buying it back. I would've hated to see it go back to the insurance company. It will have a salvaged title and I'll just do the work slowly.
what was wrong with it?
The ad says real clean-which is not the case. The driver side fender is missing (he was up front about that before I went and says he has a replacemment). The driver door doesn't line up correctly due to the accident, one mud flap missing-broken off, engine leaking oil-probably bad seal, bad leak on driver front knuckle, cracked windshield, knicks on paint througout, steering wheel tearing pretty good, front right bumper end cap missing, dog food in center console, lots of dirt on interior, dirty ceiling and moisture spots throughout, etc, etc.
I shouldn't have expected much for $4500, but the guy said it was real clean except for the fender. He got rude after he asked me what I thought. I can be OCD about those things and I just wasn't ready to put that much effort into fixing his if I bought it. Especially one that has been abused like that. I explained to him I bought mine for $4500 and it was in much better shape and had lockers. He ran inside pissed and told me not to call. After I drove off he called me and told me I was an idiot.
I just wanted to give guys on here a heads up going into this if they are interested. I am not trying to pursuade anyone from buying the vehicle just want guys to have a heads up. I was upset that he some how thought it was really clean and looked good.
