From what I have been told a warn upright winch can be ruined laying it on its side like that. If it has some messed up seal. Thought you might like to know.

Decent score on the bumper hope the winch works and it will be even better.

No clue on the LT1 swap I would say the same as any other 350 swap, but with electricals.

And shrink your pics. There is a free program call MS Paint. Easy to use and I bet you have it.

thanks sry about the size of the pics i was hoping that photobucket will reduce them
im thinking about just taking the motor out with the tranny since the tranny needs to be checked out the shifter keeps coming out of its place inside the tranny =/ any ideas on that??

Thanks

You'll need to remove the bumper, front bib, radiator and battery tray to get the motor out. Be carefull with the lines if you plan to reinstall it on the LT1.

Trying to remove both engine and tranny will mean raising your hoist REALLY high for the tranny to clear the frame and your looking at close to 1000 lbs with both units, which is a pretty big amount to wrestle with.

What adapter are you using?

I have heard people pot about the tranny slipping out of gear, but dont know anythign about it. Other than I wouldnt think is good. I think there was someone selling a 4speed in Mudd classifieds for $50!

I have heard both about pulling engine tranny and TC together and seperate.

Are you doing all the electrical stuff on the lt1 ? Have the AA adapter? I dont knwo a ton about the SBC swaps, as I liek to stick with the yota engines. Mainyl for reliabilty and dependability.

well so far ive removed the
emmisions garbage
coil pack
motor
bellhousing

what i have left is the windshield washer bottle
brake master cylinder
clutch master cylinder
random heater hose lines
charcoal canister

thats about all i can think of off the top of my head can i remove the charcoal canister or does it need to stay there?

Keep it. Plumb it into the LT1 air cleaner system you are using. The fuel tank vapor recovery system needs to have a slight vacuum. It will not hurt performance at all, but if you remove it, you will not have proper tank venting and you will have constant gas fumes.
