So my lspv crapped out on me, started leaking like a son of a gun. Couldn't find one or any rebuild kits for it. In a pinch I pulled the piston and had to tap the copper sleeve that the piston slides trough, basically putting a plug in where the piston would come through for the adjustment rod. So now the fluid flows through with no piston. My truck now stops better than ever, I have full rear brakes my only concern would be are the rear brakes going to lock up on my if I stop hard. Also did a complete bleeding of the system now my pedal seems softer that previous, but still somewhat firm. Maybe just more travel in the pedal. I'm thinking maybe the lspv was bad to begin with and not allowing fluid to the rear brakes hence the previous stiff pedal. Now that I think about it I have about 100 thousand k's on the rear pads. And I could never get the rear brakes to lock up before and it has disc brakes all around. Any ideas woul be great

I havent seen too many ,if any 7* series that could lock up the front or the rears.
I know my 75 series cab chassis had the best brakes I have ever seen and I dont think they would lock up.
My troopy can lock up one wheel but needs some serious attention in that department.

The load sensing proporting valve is supposed to send extra pressure to the rears when there is a heavier than normal load in the back,so this wont be working now.
Toyota LSPV is used on a number of models and is reputed to be the best(when functioning correctly)

Here in Australia you can buy new proportioning valves, direct replacement for the original at a brake and clutch shop.
