I need to replace my my driver's door lower speaker because bluetooth audio and navigation instructions do not work. However, I've noticed that the lower speaker on my passenger side front door works. Does anyone know if I can simply swap speakers between the both front doors? Are the part numbers the same? Do both speaker have the capability of providing bluetooth audio and navigation instructions output, or is there something different about the driver's door speaker?

Thanks!

If you're getting audio out of the speaker, the speaker is ok. BT and nav are completely separate issues.

are you sure you have the volume up on your nav?

if you're getting music out of the speaker then it's not the speaker....as the dude above mentioned.

iirc - bt and nav only come out of the driver side lower speaker. i dont think theres anything special about the speaker itslef though. from personal experience i know that when i disconnected mu nav ecu i lost sound in the driver side lower speaker until i reconnected the nav ecu. also bt and nav voice only come out of that speaker so they're related.

i get the sense there's something else going on that you're not telling us about? is your bt and nav working (on the screen)? are you having mfd issues? just from your description im guessing your issue is not the speaker but instead might be nav ecu or something else. more info might help us help you.

as for parts, check toyodiy, toyotapartszone etc for part numbers to see if they're the same.

You can check whether it is a speaker if you go to Audio setup and shift sound to your front/left side - if there is no sound when radio/music is playing - it is highly likely to be a speaker. If there is sound - then it is your Navigation - either volume is set to be too low or something is broken.

The speakers are interchangeable (based on part number). I replaced stock with Polk - stock ones have the same part number between passenger and driver side.

pretty certain on this - if nav ecu is disconnected no sound will come through the driver side lower left speaker and bluetooth wouldn't function either. my point is that if OP's nav and bluetooth are not working then his issue may be the nav or nav wiring, not the speaker.
if nav and bluetooth are working fine (other than sound), then speaker and speaker wiring is where i would focus.

Thank you for all of your replies!

I do not always get audio (even radio audio) out of the speaker in question.

Yes, the navigation and bluetooth volumes are turned up.

The other two speakers on the door work, but audio only, not navigation or bluetooth. Otherwise, I've come to the determination the lower speaker, which is for all audio (navigation and bluetooth included) goes in and out at times (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, as if the connection is loose).

Thanks for this great info!

Yes, exactly, my navigation and bluetooth systems work, except for the fact that audio for same does not. Everything is plugged in properly at the navigation system unit under the front passenger seat.

Is there a wiring harness to the door that could have gone bad? How do I access same, etc. and what might you guys recommend at this point?

Thanks again!
