I have an '09 with 233,000 miles. When I make a sharp turn I hear a 'pop' coming from the front end. The dealer says the cracked bushings can't be replaced and I need to do the complete lower control arms. He's quoting ~$1500 for the job. If I do it, should I get the OEM spacers at the same time? Or should I go after-market and upgrade the whole suspension?

Did you end up finding an answer for this? My lower control arm bushing also needs to be replaced, so I'm wondering if it's worth doing all of them at once. And add the LC Spacer to my LX while there.

It’s not worth doing just the bushings. They’re about $200 for the full set plus the labor to press them, and you’ll still have old ball joints.

New arms are about $300 a piece. Book is .9 hours of labor per side, plus an alignment. Anything more than $1000 for the whole thing seems awfully high to me.

Is it recommended to go with third party LCAs on an LX. I know UCAs get replaced all the time. I have no plans on removing the AHC.

Copy on bushings. This is good to know. Thanks!

I don't have an LX but I don't see a reason not to buy OEM. They are pretty stout and durable and relatively inexpensive
