Thanks again for all the input! I placed a deposit this evening on a Gamiviti Expo+ Rack with four towers on each side. I'll be pairing that with the Yakima KeelOver canoe rack. Tim at Gamiviti is GREAT to work with. I was under the impression that his racks came unfinished, but he's going to powder coat it black for me. Should be here in about a month. If Tim can't provide the fairing, I'll either buy a Yakima one or make one with the material from Tap Plastics that others have used. This forum is an amazing source of info and ideas. Thank you!
Does anyone know if the Yakima Q tower + 48" bars + saddle + hully rollers (Yakima Lowrider Towers (8000118)) fit on the stock roof racks? I found a used set I may use for my Hobie Revolution 13 for $200.
No, the Q Tower is not what you need. The Rail Grab will work with the factory roof rails.
OK thanks. In looking a the pics of the gear for scale I think its actually the RailGrab that is being sold. The guy used it on the factory rails of his Tacoma. I think he just mi-labelled it in his ad. Thanks for the info!
Actually just found out the feet are Yakima Lowriders (#0118), will those fit on my LC?
That should work. It was replaced by the Rail Grab.
