Low Fuel Light

Sorry if this topic is old ...........

My light came on today and I added 20.6 gallons....

The gauge was still slightly above the empty mark

Am I correct that we have 24 gallon tank on a 2008 ?

Just trying to figure out how far it will go after the light turns on....

Yes, tank is spec'd at 24.5 gallon capacity. No guarantee, however, that that capacity is 100% available

My fuel warnings lights was on and the gauge was showing E , I drove from Santa Cruse to Half moon Bay on H-1 for 60 miles when I got to gas station I fill it up only 23 gallons. So when the light is solid you still can make 50+ millies

My light comes on with cruise range hits 10 miles to empty

I don't think I have ever had any vehicle I've owned ever get below 1/2 tank, except a Vette I shipped from Maui and you could only have 1/8 tank of gas for it to be shipped. I've always understood it's better on the fuel pump to keep it over 1/2 tank. Plus I need to take a piss or stretch my legs if I am on a trip.

Hate the gas light: mine comes on with 5 gallons left and the range shows around "0".
