So it only recently occurred to me that my 2011 LX570 does not use HID lights. Funny as my 2008 ISF uses them for hi and low!

The bulb is a H11-55W. Has anyone had good luck switching to a LED bulb (same stock headlight) in it's place that puts out better light, doesn't overheat and doesn't trip OBD II for low voltage?

Thanks!
Andy

Anyone tried Xenopro LED headlights?

Check out post number #14.

But you will find spectacular results with the relatively new IPF LED replacements.

Taco, I am becoming a light junkie and want even more light while I am driving on the highway. I love my V2 LED high beam fog lights. I have been debating about buying the new V2 low beam bulb to get more 1600 more lumens light (I currently have V1). I just don't think I am going to get any satisfaction. I keep wanting more. Even though I am not hurting people's eyes but people assume since I am throwing down soo much light that I have left my high beams on and high beam me regularly.

I've been surprised how infrequently I get high-beamed using the IPF LEDs. The few times I have been... it's almost exclusively from low-driver-seat vehicles like corvettes or roadsters. Sitting that low must be annoying at night... Other than those few times, basically zilch in my 2008.

Yeah, maybe its because I am in Chicago and we have lots of cars in a small area. I did have my mechanic point them down a bit. The high beam 5000 lumen fog light is probably not helping.

Ohhh... If you are blasting fogs at that lumen rating in normal conditions...ya. I might high-beam you too. ;)

I was getting high beamed before I put the fogs. I notice people assume that since I am putting down soo much light that I have my highs on. I haven't been pulled over by the fuzz yet for them (even though I have been tailed for speeding) and my buddies don't think they blind oncoming drivers.

I have been getting alot of compliments for my LED interior bulb upgrade. One person commented that its like I have a halo around me now. It almost seems brighter inside the car then outside. I tried driving with my interior lights on for a while just to see how bright it is. I read books in the back while being chauffeured on long distance trips.

Are these compatible with the AFS and self leveling systems of the car?
Thanks!
Sorry, I can’t help with that one as I have the LC variant which has a fixed bulb.

Could you take a picture what you have, I could give a good guess if someone else doesn’t chime in.
