Yah, that PO never got over a bad case of Suburban-itis :flipoff2:

I'm interested in hearing the truck after they are done.

they are adding a 2nd muffler at the end. it should make a small difference. my center muffler is already the most quiet they have.

the 2nd one is still a "performance" muffler but again, its quieter than, say a flowmaster. here is hoping it works. i cant stand the drone on the highway and with 8 - 12 hours of driving a day coming up i am looking forward to a change.

I had loud Flowmasters on my first FJ40 that had a 350 in it. I thought it was cool. Then again, I'm a douchebag.

Mine had glasspacks. They're gone in favor of a 3" single. I want to make it quiet, but I'm not sure how.

great experience! they bring you out there under the lift... you can explain what you want done and they walk through different options for you. its too rainy out or i would take pics but its much quieter and i am very happy... its tucked up where the spare tire hanger used to be. i dont have to worry about it getting ripped off in the mall parking lot either.

also, just got the truck inspected and it passed. that is always comforting.

rick, i just got home... there is no way i can make it up there today which sucks because i need that locker fixed.

Too bad, I'm sure it's nothing more than a timing issue between the pinion on the actuator and the rack in the diff.

I jacked up my front to find that everything was working normally. :frown:

What size exhaust is on the truck?

i think its 2.5. ididnt want to put new pipes on... just another muffler, to well, muffle.

are you around this weekend?

Those dang PO's! Zip ties holding the muffler up? The exhaust was done by Lou's and I don't recall zip ties. That muffler was one of the larger Flowmaster Deltaflow mufflers for large SUV's and trucks. Not bad around town but at certain highway speeds the drone was tough. That said, I agree with Nick. :hillbilly:

the rear most hanger holding the phat crome tip rusted through and snapped... i put the zipties there because i cant weld!

all in i like it now. i am going to head up to ricks this afternoon and we'll see if hi notices the difference. the only issue i have with it is that is is located where a back up fuel tank would go and since that is not around the corner any time soon i really dont care.

Pete you should go back and have them add a stack pipe on there to accent the snorkle
