Hi all,

So was on my short commute home (1 mile) from work, going up a hill and all of a sudden the power is gone...RPMs drop to idle speed and no effect is caused when I push the throttle.

I let off the throttle, push it down again and everything acts normal. This occurred 2 more times in my short drive.

Other tidbits:

Battery: less than a year old and hooked up to tender when not in use

Fuel pump: I have never had a fuel pump go out, but this is how I picture it, as it seems all throttle power was lost.....it wasn’t as if the rig slipped out of gear, there was no revving, just an emptiness....(In the engine and in my soul).

Electronics: It did not appear to affect any of the electronics. It was night time, so I had my lights on, nothing dimmed or flickered.

Recent Repairs: Did the alternator, tensioner, and belt about 6 months. Other than that, the rig has been problem free.

Any ideas??

Fuel pump sounds like a good idea. What was your fuel level? I'm going to guess it wasn't particularly hot.

Search for APPS/TPS threads. I had this issue when it was cold. Assuming its cold now up in ND.
I replaced the APPS and no issues since and it has been below freezing several days this year in CO.

Hmm, I will do that. I have never heard of that.

Couldn’t get the vehicle to replicate it again today....testing continues....but based on what I read regarding apps, sounding like that is the issue.
