I have a 5 speed auto diesel 4.2 Amazon 100 series

I took it for a service
I watched him change oil, air filter etc
He unscrewed diff screw and a tiny drop of oil came out of each, he said he was just checking colour of it and it was ok, he also grease gunned the prop and other places underneath with the machine (with anything that had a nipple)

He's done this all before, no issues, however this time there was a bit of leakage from previous issues of fuel leak etc, so he washed inside engine and underneath so I could see any new leaking issues

When driving it now, there is no balls in it on hard acceleration, normal driving you dont really notice

Its very noticeable when you put your foot down, it used to fly!

Taking it back is not an option as its just a petrol station in nairobi, and they only have basic servicing skills.
I have Techstream, haven't connected it, but there are no ECU lights on or anything

Could this be a simple sensor or something unplugged from the engine jet wash?

Check all vacuum lines, one of mine was loose and it became very slow (VNT turbo wouldn't work).

I could hear it hissing as soon as I opened the hood.
It would drive a bit sluggish and would not "fly" when you step on it, after reconnecting, it did.

Here is a pic (just pointed to lines might not all be vacuum):

The arrow on the far right-bottom points to the line coming from the vacuum pump, you can check for vacuum here.

There is also a valve regulating the turbo vacuum, you can check if the connector is ok and check for corrosion.
Also MAF sensor might be shot or not connected, usually gives a check engine light on the dash.

If you can't find anything you can check the turbo pressure in techstream and with a separate gauge.

Do you have a service manual for the 1HD-FTE, useful info in there for turbo pressure.

great thanks i'll take a look at vacuums, i remember this issue in the past when someone connected the vacuum backwards so it sounds plausible
