Ba lump Ba Lump Ba Lump...

...is what my truck started doing yesterday morning. Only when it is very cold in the morning. I started it as usual. Cranked right up but instead of the rough cold idle I normally get I got the loping that lasted a few minutes. I took off towards work and pushed the choke in. the Revs lowered as usual but still loped. then all of the sudden, it was running as smooth as butter.

i have a known exhaust leak - although i can't tell where it's coming from.
i just advanced my timing some more a few days ago (no spark knock).

Any ideas, distibutor-plugs-wires-exhaust/intake leak?

thanks in advance!

I have had this happen before, but not with a cruiser. Last time it was a bad plug wire that caused a bad plug to not fully detonate. I would start with checking the plugs and wires then D cap and rotor.
