Planning a couple of weeks vacation in early September 2012. Anyone rented in or near Dillon that can recommend a place to stay? I've had good luck with vacation rentals by owner in the past. I am just thinking ahead. Thanks.

You should look at Keystone and Copper mtn. too. Both have buttloads of condos and I'm sure you could find a place to stay for a few weeks. Sept. is a slow season here, summer is over and skiing hasn't started yet. I can't recommend a place to rent through, but if you have any questions about the area feel free to PM me.

We are looking at Copper Harbor too. We have spent quite a bit of time vacationing near Buena Vista. This year it will be just my wife and I and my brother and his wife. We are taking the 80 out and hope to do some wheeling in the mountains and of course some fly fishing. We will be retiring out there in the about 5 years Lord willing and hope to find some acreage that butts up to federal or state land. Hunt, fish, raise a few chickens and enjoy the scenery.
