Wanted Looking to buy an 80 series in So. Cal.

Within the next week I would like to trade some cash for an 80 series Land Cruiser. I will really miss my FJ40 that has been in my family (bought it from my father), so I am looking for an 80 series that will somewhat make up for the loss that I have incurred.:crybaby:

Moving forward, I would prefer to buy this rig from an established Mudder, since I have spent the last three years in this "community" of like-minded individuals that have shown themselves to be fair and honest, as well as knowledgable.

The desired rig will be capable as a daily driver and preferrably be modded for general offroad use.

1. *Engine: 1FZ-FE without mechanical problems, and would prefer that the head gasket has been done or does not need to be done in the near future.

*If you have a '91 or '92 with this engine swapped in it, I would be interested. If you have swapped in a V8 that is smog legal, I would also be interested.

2. Body: I am not too picky on the body. There can be scratches and small dents (not too many, though). The hood and top will more than likely be faded, so I pretty much expect this to be included in the sale. I could care less if the running boards are attached because they will be removed anyway.

If a door needs to be replaced, for example, I can deal with that.

3. Suspension/Tires: I am looking for at least a 2.5" lift with at least 33" tires. If the lift has been done but you are running stock-sized tires, I will not complain.

4. Drivetrain: I would prefer to have at least a rear locker, but not a deal-killer.

5. Interior: If the seats are warn/torn, I am not too picky in this category. But, there must be all three rows to qualify. But, the dash and other plastics need to be in OK condition and not all busted up. I would prefer not to have too many electrical issues to deal with.

Overall: Ultimately, the rig that has been modded with a lift, tires, bumper (s), spare tire carrier, sliders, etc. would take preference over stock, since it will be moderately wheeled by me.

I will have $4500.00 in cash by which to replace the parking spot where my FJ40 once sat.

I will be daily driving my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee until I get the new vehicle. Having said that, if your 80 series Land Cruiser is worth more than the $4500.00 I am offering, I would include the Jeep in fulfillment of the value of your 80.

Thanks for your consideration.
