this is what it a available on Okinawa at the moment. I know the shop with the black one if you want to look at it. But no lockers

I just had a baby three days ago, otherwise I'd take you up on it. When things settle down for me I'd be available. I appreciate it.

With regards to the lockers, how well do the factory lockers stack up against aftermarket option such as ARB?

Congrats ......
I guess you do really need a 4 door Cruiser now.

Congratulations! Another fine American born on foreign soil! If my ol'lady found out I was looking for a cruiser three days after my kids were born, she'd have my nuts in a vice.

Just come home with a new car seat strapped in back seat and she'll be happy.

Every bit as good. Factory may have a slight edge for resale value but not much. ARB engage faster and you get onboard air out of it which is very useful. Both are just as good so I wouldn't make it a determining factor. Go for a clean low mile well maintained unit with the transmission you want. Everything else is bolt on and available from numerous vendors in North America

Thumbs up for the ARB lockers. They are reliable and work well and the air compressor is a big plus.

No problem let me know. And congratulations!!!!

Thank you much I will!

I do indeed. Currently I'm driving a Mitsu Pajero iO. It is fine for the two of us and our dog, but now with a baby it's a bit small.

Yeah my wife and I were not planning on having a kido yet but he is more then welcomed into our lives. As far as getting a new truck, I've been talking about about getting one for a while and my current truck is about to take a dump so the stars are lining up.

Japan =beautiful country and amazing people. Look out for rust....

You are in the land of land cruiser I am sure you will find one.

Here is a 1997 FJ73 that spent too much time on the coast of Colombia. It has the Fred Flinstone pedal yourself option to save on gas mileage from the 4.5 liter 24v gas engine...

Yeah, rust is my biggest concern. I haven't delt with it on any of my cars (as I said earlier I come from a VW/Audi background. The Germans really know how to treat for corrosion from the factory). But I helped a buddy battle rust on a Honda crx. In the end the car got stripped as far down as possible and sand blasted during partial tube frame work. It really is like cancer. If you don't get it all at once it just keeps coming back till the car dies.
