Looking to add bumpers to hood for windshield fold

Has anyone added aftermarket or other series bumpers to the good for lowering the windshield?
I can't find the original part number but thought of ordering some 40 series and mounting them.

Any rubber would do but the part numbers are available in the epc

They are called the "CRADLE ASSY, WINDSHIELD REST"

Because of the curve on the windscreen of a 70 ,it doesnt look as cool,as 4* series or Jeep when folded down

Awesome thanks. Still would be cool to able to do from time to time. Seems pointless to have the hinges and way to fold. Is there some kind of securing device built into that or do you just make one yourself to keep the shield from bouncing?

Hi all,

What my buddy's LJ73 with the FRP removal top has are these 2 brackets mounted on the hood that secure the forward lip of the folded-down windshield frame.

Far more engineering involved than the rubber pads & spring-loaded latches found on a 40/45 Series hood for windshield fold-downs!
