I am going to be buying new tires for my 01LC. I am running the stock size tire and will be staying with it. My wife uses this as her daily driver so I want something that will last and rides nice. It is not used for any off road driving. Does anyone have any suggestions on brand and model of tires to get that they have had good luck with?

Michelin LTX M/S2, look them up on tirerack they are top rated. Should be good for 60-70K miles.

2nd on th Michelin LTX M/S2's... great tires for the daily cruiser

Agreed the LTX M/S line is a great tire. Michelin makes a great tire. I would not, however, use the Latitudes again. They are quiet and ride nicely but the tread depth limited their life. I'm currently running the LTX A/T 2 on both trucks. I like them a lot. If you have any issues with winter or need to get off-road every now and again, I would choose them over the M/S line.

If the stock size is 275/70-16, the Michelin LTX tires available will be the older model M/S and not the newer M/S2. Still s great tire choice for long wear. I had a set on my 80 that had plenty of tread left at 60,000 miles when one was destroyed by a dealer mechanic improperly installing a shock.

That is true, I have the LTX MS2's in the 265/75/18 size a little bigger then the stock size but a little cheaper. Should work great.

I've got the Michelin LTX MS/2 as well but opted to go 1 full size up because they no longer make them in stock 275/60/18 size. I went up to 275/65/18, it's an extra inch tall and they look great on the truck. No noticeable drop in performance.

The other choice as SW UTAH stated is the 265/75/18, it's a hair narrower and about a 1/2 inch taller.

The MS 2 is a fantastic tire in the snow as well. Check out TireRack for reviews in comparison to the AT2 as far as snow and ice performance.

Definitely the Michelins as stated above, but FYI, depending on driving style you may get 25k like I do, or 55k like my wife does on her LC. Yet her truck has mud on the tires as we speak, and mine are pristine; go figure.
