I've seen on multiple occasions that other countries continued to use RH side drop transfer cases into the late 90's...? I'm wanting to buy and ship one of these that bolt up to an A340, preferably with push button 4x4. As long as the tcase isn't made of gold, I can handle the shipping cost.

Didn't answer your question exactly, I'll just put this out there. Marlin made, and I think trail gear still makes an a340 to rf1a case adapter. A gear driven case that was on the minitruck and I think some 4 runners. It it is passenger side drop, but centered rear output so not ideal for cruiser axles. Currently run that set up in my 2uz (from a tundra) fj60, but it vibrates like a back massager at 60 mph.

Yes they do... when they are making them/able to get them made. I've been waiting for months for them to be available again.

Plus, for the price, I could pay a reasonable price for one of them Auss/NZ cases that have push button 4x4 like my 99 runner trans came with and pay freight.
