Looking for Reputable Shop in San Diego Area

I'll be importing my Cruiser from Japan this summer and I'll be picking it up in San Diego in August. I was curious if anyone has input on reputable mechanics or shops in the San Diego area? I'd like to get a tune-up and an overall once-over before driving it back to Arizona since it will be sitting for 60+ days from drop-off in Japan to pick-up in San Diego. Or, I'll need somewhere to have it towed if it won't start up. Lot's of places between San Diego and Arizona where breaking down is completely unadvisable and help is miles and miles away, if you even have cell service to call someone! Thanks in advance everyone.

Jim Dickey in Gardena, CA looked over my PZJ70 before I drove it back from Ontario, California to San Antonio, He really looked it over and I felt he did a good job.

I know it is not San Diego, but figured it was close enough and somewhat along the way.

Diesels dont really have tune ups, you do the injectors every 100000klms or so, replace the air, oil and fuel filters, do the oil changes and your good to go. The only thing that really needs to be looked at is the coolant system, but if it can build and maintain pressure when warmed up, its good to go. Your battery may be flat
