Good luck, I searched high and low. No one really seems to rebuild these engines anymore. The local shop said they could do a jasper engine for around 7k plus tax and fluids. Me thinking I can do anything said I could do it for less. So begin my search.
Initially I bought from cruiserparts.net as they seemed to have experience with them and they rebuild all the time. So went ahead and put my order in. 5 weeks later I call to see how things are going. There like good, but our shop that builds them is a little backed up cause COVID so might be longer. Said okay cool no worries. Another couple weeks go by and I call again. At this point I’m like hey can you give me some type of eta. They said well we don’t know because we put it in the computer and the builder starts working on them. I said okay just call the builder and see how things are going. They said we don’t do that it’s all done through the computer. At this point I’m thinking this is getting stupid. So I pull anKaren and say let me talk to manager. They said he will call me back. So never calls back, so I’m done playing with them and ask for refund. They tell me no can’t do refunds on rebuilt engines said okay when am I going to get it. Said they have no idea. So then I did a PayPal dispute which point they gave the refund.

So if you made this far, here is the golden nugget. Jarco engines is the place to buy out of Gorgia. They use all Toyota seals and parts. They supply dealerships that need them and they even build them with the oil pain and head cover one. They said we Try to eliminate as many things as possible that cause issues down the road. Pretty much sold me at this. Now the catch they will only sale to a mechanic that has a shop and business or my case I am going to drive and pick it up.

Just buy a short block new from Toyota and bolt on all your stuff. Yes they are available. If your dealer tells you they are NLA, then find dealer that wants to deal with it. They do exist. Read on here for the P/N.
