I will need new tires soon, but there is a huge price difference between 17" wheels and 16" wheels. I can save almost 150-200 by running a 16" wheel when I buy tires so that means a set of 5 instead of 4. I have a spare set of stock FJ 60 wheels like the pic. I'll be running 285/70 tires. I will need to clean up the wheels and maybe powedercoat black down the road. Does anyone have a pic of a FJC with 60 series 16" wheels?

I believe you will have to run a spacer for that wheel or do some creative "shaving" of the front calipers.

Really? I thought they has the same back spacing as the 17s and TRD wheels are 16" so I figured they would work.
They rub due to the shape of the inner wheel. Backspacing is very close but the way the wheel is shaped, I found they rubbed on the caliper. Rick (aka Dig Dug) has a set on his FJC also...
80-series 16" alloy wheels on Dig-Dug, not 60 series. But I did have to shave the calipers with those wheels. The 16" wheels have the right backspacing but due to the smaller diameter of the overall wheel, the shape of the center section is much more critical.
