Looking for older mini truck

My #1 son is looking for an older Toyota or Nissan mini truck for a cheap commuter; 2WD, high mileage OK, cosmetic condition not important. $2,000-2,500 budget. He lives in Midland, TX so he is looking in NM and TX. No luck (in TX) so far with the usual suspects CL, ebay, auto trader. Any leads local to you guys appreciated.

He also has a 1991 FJ80 for sale or trade, over 200,000 miles, good condition, no rust, has always been a west Texas truck.
