I inherited an Airco Welder/Generator; I am trying to find any information about it that I can, including sources for parts, service and manuals. A search of the web was unsuccessful - it appears that Airco is no longer in business. I did post this on Weldingweb, but I figured it couldn't hurt to poll the collective braintrust here.

The dataplate shows the following info:

Weld Data
Stock # - 1350-5108
Serial # - 656488
Volts - 28
Amps - 2000.c.
RPM - 3600

Power Data
K.V.A./P.F. - 7/1
Volts - 120/240
Amps - 58/29
Phase - 1/60
RPM - 3600

Good luck with this. I'm in the same boat with a 300 amp unit, maybe a model 8451-0. I can read stamped in stuff on tag, but not the painted data.
Yesterday I was informed of a welder repair place in Calgary Alberta that almost certainly has data we desire. I haven't called them yet myself; here's the info:

Christian Electric 403-292-9111

Another lead is West Coast Welding Supplies LTD of Vancouver BC Canada. They used to sell Airco welders under the brand Liquid Carbonic. Name probably shortened to Coast Welding Supplies in the '80's, and may or may not exist today.

Airco

Most if not all airco welders were made by miller try to find a comparable miller welder and get the manual from that. I have an Airco Bumblebee 250A and it's a rebadged Miller Dialarc 250. In case anyone has Canox welders they're the same.. made by miller.
