Is the 2H used in Toyota Forklifts from the 80's the same diesel engine that was used for Landcruisers?

Ive never seen one but a 2H is a 2H. There maybe some slight variation due to the shape of the forklift engine bay affecting the air intake and filter. It may have a lower output alternator and it could be 12v or 24v.
Fundamentally it will be the same.

Have you found one? Ive heard of them but I dont think they are out there in big numbers

iluders,

Here's a resource: Michael <privateparts4wd@yahoo.com.au>

He's fair and knowledgable. Yes he's across the waters and down under. Just speak upside down and backwards and he'll understand.

Don't know if you can maintain your budget when there's shipping involved, but Michael has fair prices, better than any other supplier in my research.

I made a list of things I like to purchase in addition to the motors. Sort of a "Conversion kit" list. Ask Michael to quote you for one of those.

With the "kit" you won't be doing as much fabricating or piddly parts searches to complete your project. You will save time and money using the parts I've kitted.

Cheers mate and best regards,

Rick

Thanks for the heads up about that guy in Australia. It's looking like it might work, but over budget as it always goes. Does anyone know what transmission the 1HZ uses? I'm trying to put a diesel into a 1984 fj60. Thanks so much.
