Looking for a good - affordable Toyota mechanic in Traverse City area

My son is at NMC and yesterday his clutch went out on his 2003 Camry.
Need to get it fixed... not in a hurry.

Ideally would like to swap out the engine / transmission.

Before we donate it, etc. I thought I'd ping the forums to see if I can find someone interested in working on the car (or possibly buying it).

I didn't know one could buy a manual Camry in the US. Which engine does it have?

Ours is a 2003 and that model came with a 2.4 liter, 5spd manual... it's actually a fun car to drive and totally changes the demeanor of a Camry. The previous body style also had a manual and offered a 6 cylinder engine.

That is my Taco in the background... it's up at T.C. now following the loss of clutch in the Camry

I just love the 100! Added Slee Reservoir 2.5" shocks, OME springs & DBA Rotors last fall pre-Expo East and swapped the TRD Pro wheels for a cheap CL set of Tundra stock wheels w/ KO2's. The ride is kind of bumpy now and I'm thinking the shop I had put the front suspension on might not have pre-adjusted the installation when they did the new T-Bars.

We're looking to swap our Armada out for a 200 too... as soon as I find the right one.

Lets get a meet set up soon!

@ElviMcCoy Thanks for the recommendation! Jamie at David's Garage took good care of us. New clutch, valve cover gaskets and the Camry is good for another 200k
