A friend of mine is looking for a decently clean 80-series. 120K-ish miles. Stock preferred and lockers aren't important. He's looking to spend around 5K, and he lives in the DC area.

Anyone know of anything? If so, please shoot me a pm.

Thanks

My buddy just talked his wife into upping the target price range. They're thinking $6-8K now for a nicer truck that they can use as a primary vehicle.

Does that bring any trucks into play?

Hello All, I am parting from my (OFF FRAME RESTORED) 1980 FJ40. This FJ40 has been in my Family since it was purchased new in ECUADOR. I was posted to Ecuador, for work, in 2007 and decided to bring the vehicle back with me. Since new, vehicle was only used during visits to the country. Vehicle has about 50,000 ORIGINAL miles. This vehicle has been parked for a long time. It was recently restored by professionals when I was assigned to Ecuador in 2007. I restored it back to original using parts from CoolCruisers.com. Quito, Ecuador is at 9500 feel above sea level so it was virtually rust free (pre-restoration). Car has no BONDO. Car was stripped to bare metal before it was repainted. I just took the vehicle out of storage, so I can register it in MD and sell it, before I move overseas again, for work. It makes no sense to pay storage fees and insurance for the next 4 years.

I have before and after pictures, invoice of the parts ordered from coolcruisers.com, invoice from SHOP that restored vehicle, professionally done.

I realize it may be more than 8k, but if you planning on buying the FJ40 to restore it, my car may be worth glancing. I am asking 37k (obo). I plan to to post and add and a link to pictures on a different post.

Take care !

Good luck with $37k today, unless you find someone on ebay!

John - I was thinking maybe he meant 37K in Equadorian Sucre's, but that's only $1.48 USD...

Best of luck on eBay, Santos!
