Long story short - I have a 99LC and recently sent wife to dealer in Boerne for oild change. While there, she talked the parts guy into ordering a new cup holder for the console (the one next to the E-brake) because she wanted the little "butterfly thingy" that straddles the center of the cup holder between the two cup holders. So, he couldn't find this part in the computer for a 99 but did for 2002 (In researching this on MUD it appears that all of the 2000-newer LC's have a different design on the cup holder in question - i.e. it came with the butterfly thingy that ratchet adjusts for different size drinks AND can be moved side to side to accomodate larger drinks etc.) only problem is that the cup holder and butterfly thingy come as one unit ($120) and that is only way to get the butterfly thingy. Anyway somehow he agreed to order give her the butterfly piece (free!!) - and would return the rest of the cup holder back to toyota. Also said the butterfly thingly would fit the 99. Well, of course it doesn't so now I'm trying to see if anyone has an extra (for some reason) cup holder "base" for the center console - specifically from a 2000 or newer I think. The only additional description that may help is that I would expect that the new cup holder has a "rail" or raised track vertically in the center of the cup holder base. the butterfly thingy then slides down this rail/track into position and I'll be ready to go.....
