Hey Hundy fellas. I'm looking to purchase a 100 series. I'm looking at a particular vehicle. I was wondering if one of you fellas out there has access to a carfax account. May one of you please help me out.

Your next step is to give the VIN number to a Lexus dealer...he can give you a print out that details services performed as well as services declined by owner since the truck was sold.

It was a fleet vehicle for three years. It accumulated 70,000 miles in three years. Fortunately this vehicle was used as a fleet vehicle for the Lexus of San Juan Capistrano which is minutes away from my house. I will be stopping by the dealership to get some questions answered. It was serviced once by the dealership before it went up for auction.

Here are my concerns.

It was used as a fleet vehicle.

It accumulated 70,000 miles in three years.

Second owner bought it 2001. They have owned it for over 13/14 years and have only driven it 25k miles. Current mileage is 93k.

Btw. Thanks crimsonaudio for carfax.

What do you say fellas????

I stopped by the dealership. They didn't want to give me any information.

It looks like it was originally a lease. The 70,000 miles in three years may not be a bad thing. Probably a lot of highway miles.

As far as the low mileage second owner, since the mileage went up a consistent amount every two years, I would bet the it is the correct mileage.

If the price is right, I think it would be a good buy.

BTW, if the 90K mile maintenance hasn't been done, it should give you some leverage on pricing.

Asking price was $12k. Seller has lowered to $10.5k.

I drove it. It's clean. Everything seems to work. It's the color that I was looking for.

I'm assuming it was part of Lexus' rental/courtesy vehicle. ( oh ya. Lease)

For those of you that have looked at the carfax the vehicle sold at auction on 9/6/2001. It was reported to have 71,704 miles.

2nd owner takes over. Dmv on 12/19/2001 reported with 68 more miles at 71,475.

Go to Lexus.com, register, enter VIN#. You will be able to see the service history.

IMHO, thats a great price assuming everything is working fine. I been looking around for a while, and would have jump at this combo of price/miles.

I went to Lexus.com. Def a leased vehicle. It had 9 pages of detailed service history.
Looks like it had regular 10-15k mile services done at Lexus up until 55k.

^ I agree. I'm looking for essentially the same thing...in So Cal as well. Don't worry, I won't poach this one. We're not quite ready to pull the trigger.

you need to jump on that. We can build our 100s together. We need more SoCal guys with 100s. it seems like everybody out here has an 80. I am the outcast now
