I'm looking at buying an ARB Bumper for my 80 series RHD Diesel Landcruiser and was wondering if anyone else has one? If so, how easy was the installation?

removal of the old one is the worst part...

with the winch it can be done single-handed if you block it up - it slides on easily.....

I used my rolling shop chair to hold it close and then lifted it up the last couple inches. It's a pretty straight forward install. Don't count on directions coming with the bumper. They isn't any but you won't need any either.

So tonight I pulled off my proline front bumper but when I attempted to put my new ARB on, the frame rails seem to be 1/2" - 3/4" to far apart. I can't get the bumper on...any ideas?

get some ratcheting straps and pull the horns together and grease the sh1t out of the frame rails.....put the bumper on a pneumatic office chair and adjust the height and push!

Yeah I was going to give the straps a shot today, didn't think about grease or an office chair...good idea. Thx

How'd the frame get stretched?? Any ideas what could have caused that?
ratchet straps sound like a good idea of they have enough juice to get it pulled in.

I just installed mine the other night with a friend. Really easy with two folks, even with hand tools. It probably took us a little over two hours in the dark to install it. We did eat dinner in that time period too. As others mentioned, no instructions in the kit.

Something I was surprised about is that the smallest bolts go in the side. Which is weird since the OEM bolts are longer... Food for thought anyway. Best of luck and post so,e pictures

I just went through this last month. I was amazed that it wouldn't fit, so I went to check on a parts truck to see if my frame was damaged. nope, it was off the same amount, so it is the bumper. I ended up getting a big yellow ratcheting strap and put it around the ARBs horns. Give it a good pull, this will allow you to slide it on. The rest is easy, the wife and I did it in 1.5 or so.

My frame horns are 25 1/2" between the inner most edge if each horn. My ARB frame mounts are 25" between the inside edge if each mount. This means I need to try to pull my frame horns on the truck in a 1/2". I am headed to Lowes to pick up a big strap, see if that will work.

^^^^only 1/4 on each side. Not that much. Mine was right on the money just for reference. Maybe a batch went out that was off a bit. Did you measure the inside most part of the arb? Maybe they are racked.

Here is mine before I used the ratchet strap. It was close but wouldn't fit. I would not touch the frame. If the ARB is too wide, like mine was, use the ratchet to bring it in. If the ARB is too narrow, get a hi-lift or something similar to push outwards.

I picked up a big honking strap that I can use to pull the frame in a bit. I will also break out my hi lift to spread the ARB out a bit. Wish me luck.

Weird, just measured mine behind the mounts and it measured around 25 3/4. The arb measured 25"

No luck pulling the frame horns in, and I can't get a solid perch to use my hi-lift to spread the ARB mounts out. I am less than thrilled with ARB's quality control.

Does anyone have any other creative ideas on how I can get this mounted?

BFH to the rescue. I managed to convince the ARB horns to spread a 1/4" and then flattened my frame horn (top to bottom) a tad to that they would slide into the ARB mounts.

Glad that's done...would be more glad if I had an M12000 to go in at the same time, not really looking forward to taking this off again when the winch arrives.

BFH was my friend. It was about 20 degrees outside. Took a total of ten minutes to take off the old stock bumper and beat the crap out of the horns to put the arb on. My son was the bolt guy while I hit the bumper with a rubber mallet to line up the holes. Worked out pretty good. Now waiting on the Engle winch from IPOR to be shipped from some remote unnamed location to my doorstep. Hoping to reclock and put the winch on without taking the bumper back off.
