I live in Iowa and have been looking for a Toyota 22RE for my son to drive. I saw one on Craigslist at Go West Autos in Colorado Springs. Wondered if anyone in the area would be willing to go take a look at it for me? The truck is a 1990, Black. Looks to be in pretty good shape and priced accordingly...$4699. Appreciate any help.

Thanks! Dave

i would be happy to help out for you, it would seem to me that you would be able to find one localy for the a similar price (its not like thats a rare truck).. If your Very interested and want me to i can drive it for you and give an opinion.

That would be awesome! I have been looking for about a year around here. For whatever reason, that particular truck is a hard find. At least one that isnt a huge project...I have a couple cruisers for that :)

PM me with your address and I'll send you some compensation for your time.

I went by there today, They would not let me drive the truck, because the guy was on another test drive. and the lady was being kindof a jerk.. The truck looked nice, Minimal rust on the frame, small dents and dings.. The engine had a strange bearing wine of some sort at about 2500 RPM (sounded like an external noise, like water pump or pulley bearing, it went away after i Reved it up a couple of times. It was Ideling pretty high (it s pretty chilly here today)..

I Personally would think the truck is worth about $2500 or so based on what i saw. but i usually get good deals on stuff.

They Did however have an FZJ80 with BFG's a small lift, Lockers, an ARB Bumper with a 12K Warn on it.. Priced right at $10K or so..
