I am looking for a clean and mechanically tight 60 in the Fort Worth / Dallas area. My pride and joy - West Texas is turning 16 on 09/11 and gets his license on 10/16. I asked him to do research on any vehicle he wanted and to make an intelligent decision. My requirements were that he choose a vehicle that was 1. safe, 2. room for his two sisters in the back seat and that he would have to learn to care for the vehicle himself - oil change - tune ups and other minor maintenance issues. And he has decided on a FJ60 (not a FJ62). I am looking and pursuing some posts already listed - but thought that I would give the WANTED POST a try.

Looking for an FJ60
Very minimal to no rust
Original drive train
Straight body
Not looking for a "Valdez"
Mileage close to 100K is preferred
Clean interior
We will run a "carfax" report so we will need VIN
Like I said this is my pride and joy's first car - not looking for junk.

West Texas and myself are serious buyers.

Sure widh you wanted a 62 cause thare is a real clean one here near Wichita Falls that would be great. Last I talked to him he was at $5000.

Not my decision - this is to be a learning process - he already has a Chilton's on this. He has to be 110% on top of this - if he ain't - he won't drive. I like the 80 but still wants the 60 - his first LC he looked at was a 62 he was not impressed with auto trans.
