Wow, youre lucky to have walked away from that, damn bro. To be honest, i think thats pretty damn good, i would expect a lot more crumpling. Is the drivers seat pushed over? Have fun fixing all that man, that sucks a big one.

That must have been parked. If you were in that, ditto, you are lucky to be posting!

I hope all is made good buy the person that hit you and their insurance company.

i wasn't driving it, my wife who at the time was 7 months pregnant. she was never touched by the door or any other body panels. this trucked saved her and my little girls life. hard to get rid of something i owe so much to

the person that hit it didn't have insurance. state farm covered it all, the caprie hit at a 45 deg angle coming toward it down a road less than a mile from my house

how in the hell do you get t-boned at 55 miles an hour?

edit. sorry about yur cruiser man i think i might actually cry if it were mine
and thats wonderful that your wife and daughter are allright

yikes!

Holy Crap Batman!
Looks like the caprice hit the rear door above the rocker sill trashing the B pillar, Part of the C pillar & the wheel well. For a 55 mph collision that's real good.
This reaffirms my purchace of my 83 fj60 that I started driving today. I bought the 60 to house my 2 year old & newborn ( & the Wife:doh: ).
Glad to hear the family is O.K. & it looks as if you're able to repair the 60 yourself.
Best of luck on the repairs & keep us posted on the rebuild.
Take care,
Dave.

thats worse than my 88, i got t'd by a tempo doig 45 with my whole family on board. it got totaled but the i bought an fj80, and now another 60

Glad you had a cruiser? That really makes me want to keep mine....Damn I need to win the lottery.

Waz the offending car a Caprice,Capri or a Caprie? Sorry not familiar with your domestic cars.
Anyway I bet its FAWKED now:D

That's absolutely incredible that a 55 mph hit did only that much damage. What does the other car look like??
I don't think the damage is that bad. Looks like the frame is in tact (did you have it fixed?) and you're just a couple of new doors a little work on the center pillar away from being good again.

I'd like to know "roughly", what it costs to fix it?
When your done and all is tallied.......

So glad to hear family is well. Good luck!

right now she sits as the last pic shows. today the b pillar arrived at my house. i'm going to install it asap, but have to wait until the passenger door comes in so that i can check for door alignment. i hope i can get it done before the 8th of may, i have to go on a trip. i'll keep posting pics of my progress.
